Fadimatu Abubakar Dalil
Vice Chairperson - She Forum Africa
Fadimatu Abubakar Dalil is a Senior Manager with the Procurement Department for National Health Insurance Scheme, a government agency under the Ministry of Health of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. She has twelve years work experience from both the Public and Private Sectors.
Prior to joining NHIS, she worked in various capacities at FirstBank Plc: a leading international financial institution in Nigeria for six years, gaining experience in the banking and financial sector. She was instrumental in the credit structuring and financial evaluation on the development of the flagship multi-million dollar 84MW Distributed Power Project (DPP) by Genesis Electricity Ltd in partnership with General Electricity of USA (GE), at the back of a 20 year Power Purchase Agreement with the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) for a dedicated electricity power supply to the largest refinery complex in Sub Saharan Africa, NNPC’s Port Harcourt Refinery Facility. The project has been completed and commissioned.
She was responsible for setting up FBN NNPC branch liaison office at the NNPC Towers presently running as a fully-fledged branch of the bank.
Fadimatu also helped initiate and develop the Petroleum Technology Development Fund Scratch Card, an e-solution proffered to PTDF. The card is presently used Nationwide to access the PTDF scholarships.
Fadimatu is a graduate of Law and possesses a Masters degree in Public Administration from the University of Maiduguri. She has attended several trainings in Project Management, International Public Procurement, Law and Finance both at home and abroad.
She has specialized skills in Public Procurement and Procedure, Secretariat duties and Corporate Governance, Legal Drafting and Conveyance; Company Law and Allied Matters, Financial Agreements/ Loan Documentation/ Due Diligence. She has added experience in Business Development and Management, Budgeting, Risk Management, Financial Analysis, Strategy, Project Finance, Marketing and Service Management.
She is passionate about projects that directly affect the lives of people positively and enjoys giving back to society in general, Fadimatu is currently the Vice Chair of SHE Africa Forum: She Forum Africa is the flag-ship conference for women in Africa, it brings together women from multiple generations and diverse backgrounds whose voices lend a broader perspective to the traditional gender related issues.
Fadimatu was a Special Delegate to United Nation’s 13th Session on Indigenous Matters- May 2014, NY United Nations Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues (UNPFII or PFII) is the UN’s central coordinating body for matters relating to the concerns and rights of the world’s indigenous peoples. She is also an Associate of Women In Business, Management & Public Service, a Member of the Nigeria Bar Association and Member of Fedracion International de Abogadas, International Federation of Women Lawyers (FIDA).
